HDD Operator Wash / Balt area

Lighting Maintenance Inc. (“LMI”) is accepting applications for a Directional Drill Crew Leader in its Electrical Construction Division. The DD Crew Leader will be responsible for entire crew operations including but not limited to: Operating Directional Drill, being familiar with and properly using locating systems, mixing systems, vacuum excavators, mini excavators and skid loaders. Foreman will be required to submit miss utility tickets and be familiar with and understand markings and status reports.
Requirements:
• Drivers License – Current, clean, drivers license
• Have a Class A CDL or be willing to get one within 90 days of employment
• Current Medical Examiners Certificate (DOT CARD)
• Education – High school Graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent training.
• Electrical experience –
• High school diploma/GED required
• Able to work well on a team
• Minimum 5 years experience
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Demonstrable knowledge and skills for equipment operation
• Strong interpersonal communication skill
Responsibilities:
• Installation of HDD Conduit
• potholing utilities
• minor maintenance of equipment
• Operates Directional Drill
• Operates Locating Equipment
• Operates and properly uses mixing system
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
• Operates vacuum excavation equipment safely and correctly
• Have an understanding of Miss Utility and maintain Miss Utility paperwork
• Oversee the work of the rest of the crew
• Collect and review daily progress reports and logs from crew members
Working Conditions:
• Job requires working in both heat and cold.
• Able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, overtime as required.
