    EI&C Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing, predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance services related to electrical, instrumentation, and controls production, utility operations and infrastructure systems as necessary to provide for safe operations, regulatory compliance and equipment availability related to EI&C systems plant wide.

    Responsibilities:

    *Maintenance of production units, utility, and infrastructure systems
    *Perform predictive, preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on production unit equipment
    *Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support to production unit systems and equipment
    *Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair plant electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
    *Perform routine trouble shooting activities
    *Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) effectively to accomplish required maintenance in and efficient and organized manner
    *Optimize plant preventative maintenance program to meet OEM recommendations, regulatory requirements, and corporate maintenance philosophy
    *Responsible for maintaining logs, manuals, records, blueprints and operating procedures
    *Incorporate safe behavior into all activities and consistently complies with all established safety and health policies and procedures
    *Work in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams
    *Provide start-up support to production operations
    *Cooperate with groups and individuals within the Engineering & Maintenance department, Operations, and other service units
    *Perform all tasks and assignments in accordance to WACKER’S policies and procedures
    *Other tasks and duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    *High School Diploma or GED required
    *Associate degree, Journeymen (or higher level education) in the field of electrical engineering and/or electrical instrumentation & controls preferred
    *Minimum of 5 years’ experience in instrument/electrical and control system applications, preferably in a chemical plant, refinery or large process plant required
    *Strong verbal and written communication skills
    *Thorough technical knowledge in the field of electrical engineering and/or EI&C , including relevant regulations, standards and codes
    *Strong electrical aptitude
    *Thorough understanding of basic electricity, electrical theory, electrical troubleshooting techniques, and electrical safe work practices
    *Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
    *Proficiency in the use of precision measuring instruments and power tools.
    *Perform and document maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic instruments and systems
    *Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair plant instrumentation i.e., transmitters, analyzers, control valves, switches, relays, etc.
    *Work with a wide variety of instruments including pH, conductivity, ultrasonic, mass flow, pressure transducers, RTDs, etc.
    *Understand piping and instrument diagrams, Signal flow diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel drawings, oneline drawings, and loop sheets
    *Experience with DCS systems
    *Familiar with Digital Automation Systems, preferably Delta V Digital Automation / Siemens Automation Systems
    *Team player attitude
    *Able to read and comprehend electrical and control drawings and schematics
    *Able to troubleshoot complex instrumentation, control systems, and PLC’s.
    *Strong multi-tasking competency
    *Ability and willingness for domestic and international travel
